After keeping our mouths shut for months now we can finally talk about our song “Few & Far Between” being used in the new film of Oscar nominee Yorgos Lanthimos. It’s called “Alps” and it just premiered in Venice. Yorgos Lanthimos shot to international fame with his previous film “Dogtooth”, which is, in our humble opinion, a masterpiece and absolute favourite of ours. Through a series of fortunate circumstances (one being him coming to one of our gigs) he picked “Few & Far Between” for a scene in “Alps”. We are so excited about this because we absolutely love his work. We hope you are going to watch it when it comes out. And, in the meantime, if you are in any way into the darker side of cinema, check out Dogtooth. A film like that only comes around every few years.
We have decided to record improvised sessions while we are in the studio and post them here. So this is our first attempt. It’s a short version of ‘Desire’ with trumpet and a crazy piano, all shot in one take on an iPhone…
